CASSI Convênios

I led product and design for a new app serving members of CASSI's partner health plans.

  • Problem Partner-plan members used CASSI's provider network, but had no dedicated app and fragmented services.
  • Decision Every service was redesigned for members whose coverage comes from another health plan.
  • Decision Several accounts stay signed in on one device, so members switch between family or contract profiles without logging out.
  • Trade-off A separate in-house app meant starting from zero, but gave CASSI the direct control over code that its vendor-built main app lacked.
  • Result A dedicated app for partner-plan members shipped on iOS and Android, with a documented component library.

One network. A missing digital experience.

Members of partner health plans could use CASSI's provider network but had no dedicated app. Basic information and services were fragmented. The challenge was to give this audience a clear way to manage their care. CASSI's main app was developed by a third-party vendor at the time, and CASSI couldn't change its code directly.

From discovery to delivery.

I led product and design from concept through launch and post-launch support. I helped define requirements with stakeholders, guided the visual identity, and co-created the style guide and component library.

Adapting CASSI for a new audience.

01

Redesign services for partner-plan members

Members of partner plans use CASSI's provider network, but their coverage comes from another health plan. Every service offered in the app was redesigned around this profile and its needs. Instead of fitting this audience into the official app, we built a separate app from scratch, entirely in-house.

02

Keep more than one account signed in

Members may need to access family members' accounts or other partner contracts with CASSI. Accounts stay signed in on the same device, and members switch between them without logging out.

03

Give the product its own foundation

With no previous product as a reference, the app needed its own visual identity, aligned with CASSI's standards. The app predates Harmony, so we documented a dedicated component library in Figma, structured with Atomic Design, to support the product's evolution.

Designed around everyday needs.

Beyond the screens below, the app delivers biometric login, personalized notifications, authorization history with justifications and appeals, and filterable monthly usage statements.

Digital member card

The home screen brings card information and key services together. Members can view, copy and share their digital ID card.

Provider-network search

Provider-network search is available in the app. Results appear on a map, with a list view as an alternative. This screen shows dermatology results and the option to return to the list.

Account switching

The account switcher lists saved profiles, marks the active one, and offers options to add or switch accounts.

Button documentation

This Figma page documents the button family: standard, icon and link buttons, each with its states, touch area and examples in real screens.

A dedicated app. Its own foundation.

CASSI launched a dedicated app for partner-plan members on iOS and Android, with a documented component library for the product.
